NOT A CONCEPT.
A LIVED THING.

THE ORIGIN

HOW IT STARTED.

Thailand first. Over a year of it. Training, living it, learning what a pair of shorts is actually supposed to do.

On the way back to Canada, a detour through Tanzania. That is where the textiles came in. Patterns I had never seen on anything made for a fight.

I took the idea to a local tailor. The shorts came back wrong.

So I bought an old sewing machine and worked it out myself. Months of it. Fabric sourced from Nigeria. The first pairs went to the Toronto fight community, a few at a time.

Nothing about that has changed except the number of pairs.

THE CRAFT

WE GOT BIGGER WITHOUT GETTING EASIER.

One person and one sewing machine became a small team and a few more machines. The method did not change.

Every piece is still cut and sewn by hand, in small workshops we have visited ourselves. No automated lines. No mass production.

Getting bigger was never the point. Not getting worse was.

WHY UNBOUND

01 ✦ HAND-SEWN. NOT MASS PRODUCED.

Every piece cut and sewn by hand in small workshops we've personally visited. No automated lines. No shortcuts.

02 ✦ THE ONLY 100% COTTON MUAY THAI SHORT.

Every other brand uses satin or polyester. We use cotton. By choice, on purpose, without compromise.

03 ✦ CULTURE BUILT INTO THE DESIGN.

Every drop is rooted in a design tradition. African textile heritage. Not as decoration. As a story.
